About Bert's Buddies Dog Training

Charlotte Burgess, Behaviour & Training Manager

My name is Charlotte Burgess and I'm a positive reward based trainer, working with dog owners in Renfrewshire, Ayrshire and Glasgow areas, in Scotland.

Dogs have been a huge part of both my home and work life and as such the company is named after Bertie, my three year old Jack Russell Terrier and Buddy, a rescued terrier who recently passed away at 17 years old.

My background in Dog Behaviour and Training

With a background as an Assistant Training and Behaviour Advisor for one of the UK's leading dog charities, I have, nationwide, extensive experience in reward-based training for dogs of all ages and breeds.

"I'm highly experienced in helping owners, with recently rehomed dogs, adapting to their unique needs."

My work has focused on designing tailored training and behaviour modification programmes, particularly for dogs with challenging behaviours. I’ve successfully supported rehabilitation and rehoming efforts, working closely with new owners.

In addition to basic training, I cover a range of behavioural challenges such as; resource guarding, loose lead walking, recall, settling, cooperative care, veterinary scenarios, and reactivity.
