Welcome to Bert's Buddies Dog Training website.  My name is Charlotte Burgess and I'm based in Paisley, Scotland. Dogs have been a huge part of both my home and work life and as such the company is named after Bertie, my 2 year old Jack Russell Terrier and Buddy, a rescued terrier who recently passed away at 17 years old.

My Values and goals

My background in Dog Behaviour and Training

Previously I worked as an Assistant Training and Behaviour Advisor for one of the UK's leading dog charities. My behavioural and training background, within the animal welfare industry, has focussed on promoting reward based training methods for dogs of all ages and breeds.

I bring with me a developed and rich experience from working in a rehabilitation training role, designing and implementing individually tailored dog training and modification programmes. 

I have unique and extensive experience working with dogs, who have had challenging behaviour issues, where I've successfully rehabilitated and worked with new owners to rehome.

In additional to basic training needs, I also cover resource guarding, loose lead, recall, settle, cooperative care, veterinary scenarios and reactivity.
